3G Public Cellular Mobile Telephone Services - Average Drop Call Rate

Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) published monthly quality-of-service open data on 3G public cellular mobile telephone services in Singapore. The average drop call rate measures unintended disconnections during a standardised 100-second call window. Under the former IDA 3G PCMTS QoS framework, operators were required to keep the monthly average below one percent. Researchers reviewing legacy mobile network performance can use the CSV series from 2013 through 2016. The indicator complements broader telecom regulatory reporting on Singapore voice service reliability.

Official description

This indicator measures the percentage of unintended disconnection of 3G mobile calls by the cellular network during a 100 second call. Under IDA's 3G PCMTS QoS framework, mobile operators are required to achieve <1% drop call rate (average across the entire month).
