Export Revenue of Infocomm Industry by Region

Info-communications Media Development Authority (IMDA) open data reports export revenue destinations for Singapore’s infocomm industry from its long-running annual survey conducted under the Statistics Act. The CSV collection, Export Revenue Destinations by Region, lets analysts see how overseas markets contribute to sector exports across the published years. Methodology notes describe representative sampling from the Department of Statistics establishment frame and confidentiality guarantees. Restated 2008–2012 figures incorporate other reseller and OEM revenue; rounding may affect row totals.

Official description

The annual survey on Infocomm Industry is carried out by the Research and Statistics Unit of the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore since 1999. This survey is conducted under the Statistics Act (Chapter 317) which empowers the Director of the Research and Statistics Unit to collect data on the infocomm activities in Singapore. The Act also guarantees the confidentiality of individual information obtained from the survey. __Methodology__ The Survey covered a representative sample of infocomm establishments which was selected from the establishment sampling frame maintained by the Singapore Department of Statistics (DOS). __Notes on Data__ Data for the period of 2008 to 2012 were restated to include other resellers/ OEMs revenue in domestic and overall infocomm revenue. Past years’ data are included for comparison purposes where appropriate. Due to rounding, the sum of the individual parts may not add up to the total or 100%.
