Official description

The table gives a breakdown on the quantity of controlled drugs seized by the various drug types. Notes: The 2021 statistics are confirmed. Buprenorphine was listed as a controlled drug under the Misuse of Drugs Act in Aug 2006, while Mephedrone and TFMPP were listed as controlled drugs in Nov 2010. For 2006's buprenorphine seizures, the quantity reflected refers to the seizures made after the drug became a controlled drug on 14 Aug 2006. For NPS seizures, the quantity reflected includes the NPS listed in 1st Schedule of the Misuse of Drugs Act since 1 May 2014, as well as BZP, Mephedrone and TFMPP.
