National Library Board (NLB) maintains Name Authorities—standardised forms for Singapore-related people, organisations, buildings, and places used in resource description. Member CSVs split NLB Name Authorities Attributes and NLB Name Authorities Relationships for linked-data and cataloguing workflows. Libraries, archives, and researchers indexing Singapore heritage materials can align tags to NLB’s authorised names between 2019 and 2023 coverage. The collection improves discoverability by recording variants and former names alongside preferred labels.

This is a list of standardised names established and maintained by National Library Board to be used uniquely and consistently when identifying and naming entities in resource description. Name authorities are created as a means of organising information so as to facilitate discovery of information.
This service establishes authorised forms of mainly Singapore-related names of People, Organisations, Buildings and Places to enable consistency of use in indexing or tagging of information resources, and to improve their discoverability. The names created are mainly names of Singapore personalities, organisations, buildings and places. Names included are usually of significance to Singapore’s political, economic, social, cultural or historical context.
Different forms or variations of names and previously-known names are also included.
National Library Board CSV of name authorities with attributes from February 2019 through April 2026. Columns include UID, descriptor, vocabulary, display name, latitude and longitude, birth and death years, feature type, start and end years, and occupation. Librarians, digital-humanities researchers, and linked-data developers enrich people and place entities in Singapore collections.
Name authority records and relational links between authorised and variant forms, published by the National Library Board in CSV from 2019 onward. Cataloguers, bibliographic researchers, and linked-data projects use the file to reconcile personal and corporate names across NLB digital collections.
