Ministry of Law reports how many Assigned Solicitors remain active by taking at least one Legal Aid Bureau case each year. The CSV dataset supports research on legal aid capacity and pro bono participation in Singapore’s justice system. Legal services planners and access-to-justice advocates can review trends across the published financial-year coverage. Use this Ministry of Law collection for annual counts of active assigned solicitors.
Official description
Number of Assigned Solicitors who took on at least one Legal Aid Bureau case per year
Number of active Assigned Solicitors recorded by Singapore's Ministry of Law for each financial year, covering financial years from 2001 through 2015. The CSV has two columns, the financial year and the corresponding count of solicitors, giving a simple time series of how the pool changed over fifteen years. Legal sector researchers and policy analysts use it to track the availability of assigned legal representation in Singapore.
