Number of Active CPF Members by Regrossed Balances & Age Group as at End of Year
Central Provident Fund Board (CPFB) open data in this collection counts active members by regrossed year-end balances and age group from 2014 through 2022. Two CSV series cover the full period and a 2019-onwards slice with updated disclosure rules for small cells marked “S”. Retirement researchers can study savings distribution while noting exclusions of self-employed persons and rounding to the nearest ten. Regrossed balances re-include amounts withdrawn under major CPF housing and investment schemes.
Official description
An active CPF member refers to a person who has at least 1 CPF employment contribution paid for him for the current or for any of the preceding 3 months.
Regrossed balances include amounts withdrawn under Investment, Education, Residential Properties, Non-Residential Properties and Public Housing Schemes as at end of year.
Figures exclude all self-employed persons. Figures are rounded to the nearest ten.
"S" refers to number of active CPF members being less than 10 (for 2014) or 5 (from 2015 onwards).
Central Provident Fund Board CSV cross-tabulating the number of active CPF members in Singapore by regrossed balance band and age group as at each year-end, from 2019 to 2025 across 1,854 rows. Regrossed balances add back amounts withdrawn under the Investment, Education, Residential Properties, Non-Residential Properties and Public Housing Schemes. Active members have at least one CPF employment contribution in the current or preceding three months, self-employed persons are excluded, counts are rounded to the nearest ten, and cells marked with a hash represent fewer than five members. The age breakdown supports cohort analysis of retirement savings adequacy.
