Number of Petitions Presented to the Court to Wind Up a Company
Ministry of Law tracks how many petitions are presented to the court to wind up companies in Singapore each year. The annual CSV offers a simple time series for insolvency researchers monitoring corporate distress and creditor actions from 2000 through 2015. Legal practitioners can complement case-level records with this aggregate open-government indicator. Figures count presented petitions rather than completed wind-up orders alone.

Number of Petitions Presented to the Court to Wind Up a Company
Annual count of petitions presented to the Singapore courts to wind up a company, from 2000 through 2015, published by the Ministry of Law in CSV format. The dataset has two fields, year and number of petitions, giving a compact time series on corporate insolvency filings. Insolvency practitioners, credit analysts, and economic researchers use it as an indicator of business distress across the period, including the years around the global financial crisis. Its simple structure makes it easy to chart alongside broader business formation and economic indicators.
