Private Residential Property Transactions in the Whole of Singapore, Quarterly
URA quarterly CSV tracks private residential property transactions across Singapore—new sales, sub-sales, and resales—from 1999 through mid-2023. New-sale counts are final from licensed developer returns, while sub-sale and resale series switched to stamp-duty records from IRAS in 2015, replacing voluntary caveat lodgements to SLA. Market analysts must note the break in comparability when stitching long historical charts. En-bloc sales are excluded from sub-sale and resale unit counts.
Official description
Data on New Sale are final and will not be revised as they are compiled based on the returns from licensed developers. Data on the number of Sub-sale and Resale units excludes en-bloc sale units and are collated from records submitted to Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore for stamp duty payments from 1Q2015. Prior to 1Q2015, Sub-sale and Resale data were compiled from caveats lodged to the Singapore Land Authority. As the latter (i.e. lodgment of caveats) is voluntary, caveats account for about 80 to 90% of all sub-sale and resale transactions. Hence, please note that data from 1Q2015 may not be directly comparable to figures in the previous quarters.
Urban Redevelopment Authority quarterly CSV of private residential property transactions across the whole of Singapore from Q4 1999 through Q1 2026, with quarter, type of sale, sale status, and unit counts. Property analysts track island-wide new sale, sub-sale, and resale volumes in the private housing market.
