Still-Births by Birth Weight, Age Group of Mother, Period of Gestation and Child Gender
ICA vital statistics in this collection detail still-births broken down by birth weight, mother’s age group, gestation period, and child gender for 2019–2021. The CSV Still-Births by Birth Weight, Age Group of Mother, Period of Gestation and Child Gender supports maternal and child health researchers analysing perinatal outcomes in Singapore. Figures originate from the Report on Registration of Births and Deaths rather than clinical hospital records. Annual publication aligns with ICA’s population registry reporting cycle.
Official description
Published in the Report on Registration of Births and Deaths, which aims to provide an overview on the annual changes in population, births and deaths.
Immigration and Checkpoints Authority table of registered still-births in Singapore for 2022 to 2024, cross-classified by several characteristics. Each row records the year, the mother's age group, the child's birth weight band, the child's gender, the period of gestation, and the count of still-births for that combination. ICA maintains Singapore's births and deaths registry, which makes this an administrative rather than survey source. Public health researchers, obstetricians, and demographers use the breakdown to examine how still-birth counts relate to maternal age, gestational age, and low birth weight over these three years.
