Hexagonal grids of radius 100m

Description

Urban Redevelopment Authority GeoJSON of regular hexagonal grid cells with a 100-metre radius covering mainland Singapore. The layer belongs to a family of URA hexagon grids from 20 metres to 1,000 metres, designed so geospatial data can be aggregated into consistent, comparable spatial units. At 100 metres the cells are fine enough for street-level analytics such as amenity density, activity hotspots, and neighbourhood accessibility mapping. Coverage is dated January 2025.

Official description

To facilitate the aggregation of geospatial data and create smoother visualisation maps for planning-related analytics and metrics, Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) created regular hexagon grids of multiple grid sizes (from 20m to 1000m radius) centred on the mainland area of Singapore. These grids are intended to support various scenarios in planning / research studies, etc. and enable consistent comparison of aggregated data across different datasets.
