Hexagonal grids of radius 300m
Description
Urban Redevelopment Authority GeoJSON of regular hexagonal grid cells with a 300-metre radius covering mainland Singapore. Part of a family of URA grids (20m to 1000m), the layer lets planners and analysts aggregate geospatial data into uniform cells for smoother visualisation and consistent comparison across datasets. GIS users bin points, density, and metrics into the hexagons for planning and research studies.
Official description
To facilitate the aggregation of geospatial data and create smoother visualisation maps for planning-related analytics and metrics, Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) created regular hexagon grids of multiple grid sizes (from 20m to 1000m radius) centred on the mainland area of Singapore. These grids are intended to support various scenarios in planning / research studies, etc. and enable consistent comparison of aggregated data across different datasets.
