Hexagonal grids of radius 400m
Description
Urban Redevelopment Authority GeoJSON of regular hexagonal grids with 400 m radius centred on mainland Singapore, published from January 2025. Planners and GIS analysts aggregate metrics onto a consistent hex lattice for smoother planning maps and cross-dataset comparison alongside other URA hex sizes from 20 m to 1,000 m.
Official description
To facilitate the aggregation of geospatial data and create smoother visualisation maps for planning-related analytics and metrics, Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) created regular hexagon grids of multiple grid sizes (from 20m to 1000m radius) centred on the mainland area of Singapore. These grids are intended to support various scenarios in planning / research studies, etc. and enable consistent comparison of aggregated data across different datasets.
