Hexagonal grids of radius 40m

Description

Urban Redevelopment Authority GeoJSON of regular 40-metre-radius hexagonal grids centred on mainland Singapore. Part of a family of hexagon grids ranging from 20m to 1000m radius, the layer supports the aggregation of geospatial data and smoother visualisation maps for planning analytics. Planners, researchers, and GIS analysts use the uniform hexagons to aggregate and compare data consistently across different datasets and study scenarios.

Official description

To facilitate the aggregation of geospatial data and create smoother visualisation maps for planning-related analytics and metrics, Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) created regular hexagon grids of multiple grid sizes (from 20m to 1000m radius) centred on the mainland area of Singapore. These grids are intended to support various scenarios in planning / research studies, etc. and enable consistent comparison of aggregated data across different datasets.
