Description
Published by the Singapore Department of Statistics, this monthly series tracks the Import Price Index at the three-digit commodity group level, rebased so that 2023 = 100. The data is laid out as a wide time series in which each row is a commodity group and each column a month, and coverage in this extract runs from January 1974 to May 2026. Because the index isolates price movements from volumes, it is a standard input for deflating import values, monitoring imported inflation and tracking cost pressures for specific classes of goods entering Singapore. Economists, trade analysts and businesses use it to benchmark procurement costs and to build inflation and competitiveness models.
