Married Couples in Resident Households by Age Group of Husband and Wife, and Ethnic Group of Couple (General Household Survey 2015)
Description
General Household Survey 2015 counts, in thousands, of married couples in Singapore resident households cross-tabulated by the age group of husband and wife together with the ethnic group of the couple. Columns span couples where both spouses are Chinese, Malay, Indian, or of other ethnic groups, with husband age bands running from below 30 through 65 and over. Figures on inter-ethnic married couples were revised in July 2023 to count only couples whose spouses fall in different CMIO groups. Demographers and social researchers use the table to study spousal age pairing and inter-ethnic marriage patterns at the 2015 benchmark. Adapted from SingStat TableBuilder CT/17850.
