Description
This National Library Board dataset indexes digitised articles from the Singapore Chronicle and Commercial Register published between 1832 and 1837. Records identify the newspaper issue, date, edition, page and article, and include article titles, the first 50 words and contributor information where available. Researchers can use it to locate primary sources on early Singapore commerce, society, politics and culture while tracing articles back to specific digitised newspaper pages.
