Description
Annual end-June counts of employers in Singapore by sex, sourced from the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey and published via SingStat with MOM attribution. The wide-format CSV provides data series labels with columns for years 1991 through 2024, noting gaps in 1995, 2000, and 2005. Entrepreneurs and labour analysts study gender representation among employers who hire at least one paid employee. Residents are defined as citizens and permanent residents.

Residents refer to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. 3. Employers refer to persons who employ at least one paid employee in their business or trade. 4. Data for 1995, 2000 and 2005 are not available as the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey was not conducted in these years due to the conduct of the Census and General Household Survey by the Singapore Department of Statistics. 5. June 2007 data have been adjusted based on latest revised population estimates from DOS to facilitate comparisons with June 2008 onwards.
