Description
Long-run pre-university enrolment in Singapore by course, level, sex, and year, published by the Ministry of Education from 1980. The CSV captures JC and equivalent pathways, including broad-based subject requirements introduced in 2006. Useful for education planners studying STEM versus arts uptake and gender patterns in pre-U institutions.
Official description
(1) Since 2006, as part of a new broad-based JC education, students are required to do at least one subject outside their area of specialisation. For example, a Science course student is required to take at least one Humanities subject and an Arts course student is required to take at least one Science subject.
