Figures cover government, government-aided, independent, specialised independent, and special schools as defined in footnotes. Useful for education resource planning and benchmarking teaching staff levels across secondary pathways.
Official description
(1) Figures for secondary schools include students and teachers in Government, Government-aided, Independent, Specialised Independent and Specialised schools. (2) The ratio of students to teaching staff or what is known as the Pupil-Teacher Ratio (PTR), is the number of secondary students divided by the number of teachers in secondary schools.
