Resident Households by Household Living Arrangement and Predominant Household Language (Census of Population 2000)

Description

Census of Population 2000 counts of Singapore resident households by household living arrangement and the predominant language spoken at home. Language categories cover English, Mandarin, Chinese dialects including Hokkien, Teochew and Cantonese, Malay, Indian languages including Tamil, and other languages. One-person households and households made up only of unrelated persons are excluded. Sociolinguists and demographers use it to examine home language use across different family structures in Singapore. Adapted from SingStat TableBuilder CT/9075.
