Wind Direction across Singapore

Description

National Environment Agency API providing wind-direction observations from automated weather stations across Singapore from 29 November 2016 onward. Values are available at one-minute resolution, updated every five minutes, and represent mean wind over a ten-minute period. Weather applications and researchers can monitor local wind patterns by station, but should account for possible technical gaps, later corrections, and site-specific obstructions that may influence readings.

Official description

Minute-by-minute wind direction readings at weather station level, updated every five minutes. These data are collected from automated weather instruments, and is automatically published as soon as it is generated. There could be instances when there are gaps in the data due to technical problems. The data is subject to correction subsequently if necessary. While every effort has been made to site the instruments in relatively unobstructed areas to provide the best possible indication of the general weather conditions, there are times when this is not possible. The readings from the instruments could thus be influenced by local conditions. The wind observations on this page refers to the mean wind over a period of 10 minutes. The data is available at 1-minute resolution.
