Number of all, Active CPF Members & Active Employers as at end of Quarter

Central Provident Fund Board (CPF) open data tracks quarterly counts of all CPF members, active members, and active employers in Singapore as at each quarter-end. Three CSV datasets let analysts separate total membership from those still contributing and the employer base making contributions. Researchers studying Singapore retirement savings participation and labour market attachment can plot these series from 2004 onward in the catalog. The collection is a core demographic and labour indicator for Singapore’s mandatory savings system.

CSV 89 rows

Number of active employers as at end of quarter

Central Provident Fund Board CSV of the number of active employers in Singapore as at the end of each quarter, with 89 rows covering the first quarter of 2004 to the first quarter of 2026. The definition changed over the series: before the first quarter of 2025 an active employer was one that had paid CPF contributions for the previous month, while from that quarter onwards it refers to registered employers, identified by Unique Entity Number, liable to pay contributions for the current month. Users comparing across the break should note this change. Useful for tracking business activity and formal employment.

Number of active CPF members as at end of quarter

Central Provident Fund Board CSV of the number of active CPF members in Singapore as at the end of each quarter, with 89 rows covering the first quarter of 2004 to the first quarter of 2026. An active member has at least one CPF employment contribution paid in the current or any of the preceding three months, and self-employed persons who are not concurrently employees are excluded, so the count approximates the contributing employed workforce. Figures are rounded to the nearest ten thousand. The series is a useful high-frequency indicator of formal employment in Singapore.

Number of CPF members as at end of quarter

Central Provident Fund Board CSV of the total number of CPF members in Singapore as at the end of each quarter, with 89 rows spanning the first quarter of 2004 to the first quarter of 2026.
