IMDA telecommunications statistics track mobile subscriptions in Singapore by network technology and plan type from 1997 through 2020. Member CSV files Total Mobile Phone Subscriptions and Total Number of Mobile Subscriptions by Type document 2G, 3G, and 4G uptake with methodological breaks noted for prepaid and postpaid 3G reporting from December 2009. Telecom analysts and regulators can study migration across generations using rounded figures to the nearest hundred. Collection notes explain when 3G and 4G series begin.
Official description
"Total Mobile Subscriptions" includes both 2G, 3G and 4G subscriptions (including both pre-paid and post-paid). Statistics for 3G and 4G subscriptions are collected from May 2005 and March 2013 respectively onwards.
"Total 3G Subscriptions" figures prior to Dec 2009 comprise both prepaid and postpaid 3G subscriptions combined. With effect from Dec 09, a breakdown of prepaid and postpaid 3G subscriptions will be published
All figures for subscriptions are rounded to the nearest hundred.
