Description
Average vehicle speeds on Singapore expressways and arterial roads during peak hours, reported annually from 2004 through 2025 by the Land Transport Authority. Peak hours are defined as 8 to 9am and 6 to 7pm on weekdays, and the dataset carries three fields: year, average expressway speed, and average arterial road speed. Transport planners, traffic engineers, and mobility researchers use the series to assess congestion levels, evaluate the effect of road pricing and network improvements, and compare expressway performance with the arterial network over two decades.

Average speed & congestion-free roads are for peak hour periods, i.e. 8 to 9am and 6 to 7pm on weekdays.
