Description

Singapore Department of Statistics CSV of life expectancy in Singapore by sex, annually from 1957 through 2025 (with early quinquennial years such as 1965–1975). Figures refer to residents from 1980 and to the total population earlier. The long series lets demographers and health researchers track gains in longevity for males and females; life expectancies in 2020–2023 were affected by higher COVID-19 mortality. Source: SINGAPORE DEPARTMENT OF STATISTICS Data Last Updated: 03/06/2026 Update Frequency: Annual Footnotes: Refer to Singapore residents (citizens and permanent residents) from 1980. Prior to 1980, figures refer to total population. Data for the latest available year is preliminary. Life expectancies in 2020-2023 have been affected by higher mortality rates, particularly those observed in 2021 and 2022, arising from the COVID-19 pandemic. It may not accurately represent the number of years that individuals can expect to live if mortality rates return to pre-pandemic levels.
