Percentage of PSLE students who scored A*- C in Standard Mathematics
Description
Ministry of Education CSV giving the share of Singapore PSLE candidates who scored A* to C in Standard Mathematics, by year and ethnic group, from 1997 through 2020. Each row pairs a year and a race category with a percentage, so the series tracks both the overall attainment level and the gap between communities across more than two decades. Education researchers and policymakers use it to assess progress in narrowing achievement differences at the end of primary school. The series ends at 2020 because the PSLE moved to Achievement Levels in 2021, which are not comparable with T-scores.
Official description
The first year that students sat for the PSLE under the new Achievement Level (AL) scoring system was in 2021. Under the new system, there are eight ALs, AL 1-8. The new AL scoring differs from the T-score system and results from the two systems are not comparable. As such, a new series of statistics was started from 2021 PSLE. The T-score series before 2021 PSLE are available on Data.gov.sg.
