Resident Working Persons Aged 15 Years and Over by Monthly Income from Work, Duration in Present Job and Sex (Census of Population 2000)

From the Census of Population 2000, this Singapore Department of Statistics table cross-tabulates resident working persons aged 15 years and over by monthly income from work, how long they had been in their present job, and sex. Income bands begin below $500 and rise in steps, while job-duration groups run from less than one year through 1 year, 2-3, 4-5, 6-10, 11-15 and more than 15 years, each split into total, male and female counts. The census counted about 1.48 million resident working persons in total. Income figures have since been revised to include employers' Additional MediSave Contributions, making the series a useful historical baseline for studies of job tenure, earnings and gender pay gaps.
