Number of Active CPF Members by Regrossed Balances as at end of Year
Central Provident Fund (CPF) Board statistics in this collection report how many active members held regrossed account balances at year-end from 2014 through 2022. CSV datasets split member counts and balance totals, including series revised from 2019 onward, following CPF’s definitions of active employment contributions and regrossed balances. Pension researchers and policy analysts can study savings distribution without access to individual accounts. Rounding rules in the official description apply to all published figures.
Official description
An active CPF member refers to a person who has at least 1 CPF employment contribution paid for him for the current or any of the preceding 3 months.
Regrossed balances include amounts withdrawn under Investment, Education, Residential Properties, Non-Residential Properties and Public Housing Schemes as at end of year.
Figures on number of active CPF members exclude all self-employed persons, and are rounded to the nearest ten.
Figures on regrossed balances are rounded to the nearest thousand dollars.
