Description
Track average weekly total paid hours worked per employee in Singapore on a quarterly basis from 1998 through 2025. Ministry of Manpower data define total paid hours as standard hours plus paid overtime, supporting labour intensity and working-time research. Each row reports quarter and total paid hours for macro labour-market analysis, productivity studies, and MOM working-hours trend searches.
Official description
Total Paid Hours worked is the total number of paid hours worked during a week by an employee. It is the sum of Standard Hours Worked and Paid Overtime Hours Worked. Standard Hours Worked is the number of hours, excluding meal breaks worked by an employee during a normal working week Paid Overtime Hours Worked is the number of hours worked by an employee in excess of the standard hours for which the employee was paid. It excludes overtime hours worked for which "time-off" was granted instead of wage payment. Source: Labour Market Survey, Manpower Research & Statistics Department, MOM Before 2006, data pertain to private sector establishments (each with at least 25 employees). From 2006 onwards, it also includes the public sector.
