Annual averages of total paid hours worked per week and standard hours per employee in Singapore, published by the Ministry of Manpower from 1998 onward. Total paid hours sum standard time and paid overtime; analysts study working-time intensity, overtime culture, and labour standards compliance across the workforce.

Official description

Total Paid Hours worked is the total number of paid hours worked during a week by an employee. It is the sum of Standard Hours Worked and Paid Overtime Hours Worked. Standard Hours Worked is the number of hours, excluding meal breaks worked by an employee during a normal working week Paid Overtime Hours Worked is the number of hours worked by an employee in excess of the standard hours for which the employee was paid. It excludes overtime hours worked for which "time-off" was granted instead of wage payment. Source: Labour Market Survey, Manpower Research & Statistics Department, MOM Before 2006, data pertain to private sector establishments (each with at least 25 employees). From 2006 onwards, it also includes the public sector.
