Ministry of Manpower publishes employment rates for residents aged 25 to 64 by sex from 1991 to 2025, referenced to June each year. The series tracks core working-age participation for Singapore citizens and permanent residents, with breaks where Comprehensive Labour Force Survey years differ. 1. Reference month of June 2. Residents refer to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. 3. Employment rate is defined as the percentage of the employed persons to the population. 4. Data for 1995, 2000 and 2005 are not available as the Comprehensive Labour Force Survey was not conducted in these years due to the conduct of the Population Census 2000 and General Household Surveys 1995 and 2005 by the Singapore Department of Statistics. 5. 2007 data have been adjusted based on latest revised population estimates from the Singapore Department of Statistics to facilitate comparisons with 2008 onwards.
