Official description
Retrenchment refers to the termination of permanent employees due to redundancy and early termination of term contract employees due to redundancy. Incidence of retrenchment refers to the number of retrenched employees per one thousand employees. Data by residential status breakdown are available from 2007 onwards. Source: Labour Market Survey, Manpower Research & Statistics Department, MOM Data pertain to private sector establishments (each with at least 25 employees) and the public sector.
