Description

Ministry of Manpower annual average number of unemployed residents (citizens and permanent residents) in Singapore from 1992 through 2025, with year, residential status, and unemployed count. Selected mid-year points use census and GHS sources. Labour analysts track the absolute size of resident unemployment over time.

Official description

Data refer to the annual average number of unemployed residents. Residents refer to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Annual figures are the simple averages of unemployment figures obtained at more frequent intervals in the year. Labour Force Survey, Manpower Research & Statistics Department, MOM, except data for June 1995, June 2000 and June 2005, which are from the Population Census 2000, General Household Surveys 1995 & 2005 conducted by the Singapore Department of Statistics.
