Description
Annual average resident unemployment rate in Singapore from 1992 through 2025 from the Ministry of Manpower Labour Force Survey, with selected mid-year census and General Household Survey benchmarks. Residents are Singapore citizens and permanent residents. Labour economists and policymakers track long-run resident joblessness and labour-market slack in Singapore.
Official description
Data refer to the annual average resident unemployment rate. Residents refer to Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents. Annual figures are the simple averages of unemployment figures obtained at more frequent intervals in the year. Labour Force Survey, Manpower Research & Statistics Department, MOM, except data for June 1995, June 2000 and June 2005, which are from the Population Census 2000, General Household Surveys 1995 & 2005 conducted by the Singapore Department of Statistics.
