Description
Ministry of Manpower annual CSV of retrenched employees in Singapore by industry and occupation from 1998 through 2025 (about 3,462 rows). Retrenchment means redundancy-driven termination of permanent or early end of term contracts; coverage expands to the public sector from 2006. Labour analysts track sectoral and occupational redundancy trends from the Labour Market Survey.
Official description
Retrenchment refers to the termination of permanent employees due to redundancy and early termination of term contract employees due to redundancy. Source: Labour Market Survey, Manpower Research & Statistics Department, MOM Before 2006, data pertain to private sector establishments (each with at least 25 employees). From 2006 onwards, it also includes the public sector.
