Description
Ministry of Manpower annual CSV from 1998 through 2025 on retrenched employees in Singapore by occupation. Retrenchment covers redundancy-related termination of permanent staff and early termination of term contracts; pre-2006 figures are private sector with at least 25 employees, later years include the public sector. Labour economists study occupational vulnerability during downturns.

Retrenchment refers to the termination of permanent employees due to redundancy and early termination of term contract employees due to redundancy. Source: Labour Market Survey, Manpower Research & Statistics Department, MOM Before 2006, data pertain to private sector establishments (each with at least 25 employees). From 2006 onwards, it also includes the public sector.
